After enjoying breakfast at the hotel, we will head to the Oriental Pearl TV Tower, boasting the finest vantage point in Shanghai situated by the Huangpu River at a height of 468 meters. Following this, we will embark on a scenic cruise along the Huangpu River to take in the captivating views of Shanghai. In the afternoon, our guided tour will lead us to Yu Garden, a historic private garden with a 400-year legacy showcasing the traditional architectural style of the Yangtze Delta region. To conclude the day's exploration, you will have the opportunity to leisurely stroll through Tianzifang Old Street and immerse yourself in the local lifestyle of Shanghai residents.

DAY 3 Shanghai/Zhujiajiao/Zhangjiajie

After breakfast, a delightful one-hour drive will transport you from the city's hustle and bustle to the picturesque Zhujiajiao Ancient Town, often hailed as the Venice of Shanghai.
Boasting a rich history of 1,700 years, Zhujiajiao stands as a meticulously preserved waterside ancient town. Your itinerary will include a leisurely stroll along the Hundred-year-old North Street, capturing memorable moments on the Fangsheng Bridge, admiring a panoramic view of Zhujiajiao from the vantage point of Yuanjin Buddhist Temple, and experiencing a relaxing boat ride along the canals. This journey will expose you to the old residences, charming shops, and elegant bridges adorned with the classic architectural styles of the Ming and Qing Dynasties (1368 AD - 1911 AD).
After the exploration of the water town, your guide and driver will transfer you to the airport for your evening flight to Zhangjiajie. Upon your arrival at Zhangjiajie Hehua International Airport, our Zhangjiajie driver will be waiting for you at the arrival hall to escort you to your hotel for check-in.

DAY 4 Zhangjiajie
Activities for today: Tianmen Mountain National Forest Park, Yellow Dragon Cave
At 09:00, you will meet your guide and embark on a journey to Tianmen Mountain National Forest Park. Here, you will enjoy a ride on the world's longest cable car, ascending to the summit of the mountain. Following this, you will embark on a roughly 2-hour hike along the Plank Road, offering stunning views of the Guigu Cliffs.
After the hike, you will visit Tianmen Temple. Subsequently, you can opt to either walk back or take the Forest sightseeing cable car back to Tianmen Cable Car station. From there, you will descend via the large cable car to the middle station and then board a bus to traverse the Heaven-Linking Avenue, culminating in an exploration of Tianmen Cave.
In the afternoon, your journey continues to the Wulingyuan Scenic and Historic Area, where you will delve into the wonders of Yellow Dragon Cave.

DAY 5 Zhangjiajie

Activities for today: Yellow Stone Village, Golden Whip Stream, Baofeng Lake
In the morning, you will rendezvous with your guide and journey to Zhangjiajie National Forest Park. Upon arrival, you will ascend to Yellow Stone Village via cable car and embark on a 2-hour hike through the mountainous terrain. Following this, you will enjoy lunch at a local Chinese restaurant (arranged on your own) before continuing to the picturesque Golden Whip Stream.
A leisurely stroll along the stream awaits, allowing you to soak in the stunning scenery for approximately 2.5 hours. Subsequently, the itinerary will lead you to the tranquil Baofeng Lake, where you will partake in an engaging cruise experience.

DAY 6 Zhangjiajie
Activities for today: Bailong Elevator, Yuanjiajie, Yangjiajie, Tianzi Mountain, Wulongzhai, Ten-mile Natural Gallery
Today, you will begin by ascending Yuanjiajie Mountain via the Bailong Elevator, a remarkable glass elevator integrated into the mountainside. Upon reaching the summit, you will embark on a 2.5-hour hike to uncover the iconic Pillar of the Southern Sky, which served as inspiration for the breathtaking "Hallelujah Mountains" featured in the blockbuster movie, Avatar.
Next, you will proceed to the Fascinate Platform (Mihuntai) to revel in the panoramic views of the surrounding peaks before crossing the renowned No. 1 Bridge under Heaven. Throughout the tour, you will visit notable sites including Wulongzhai, Tianbofu (Tianbo Mansion), Bailipo, Yibudengtian (One Step to Heaven), and Kongzhongzoulang (Air Corridor). Ascend Tianzi Mountain and explore various attractions within the Tianzi Mountain Nature Reserve, such as Shentang Gully, Helong Park, Emperor Brush Pen Peak, and a trail leading to Tianzi Pagoda, Yueliangya, and Wolongling.
Conclude your mountain adventure by descending via cable car to immerse yourself in the enchanting and ethereal landscape of the Ten-mile Natural Gallery.

DAY 7 Zhangjiajie/Furong Town/Fenghuang
Activities for today: Furong Old Town, Fenghuang Old Town
Following breakfast, embark on a 2-hour drive (approximately 100km) to Furong Town, also known as Hibiscus Town. Upon arrival, take a leisurely stroll through the old town for about 1.5-2 hours, immersing yourself in the history, culture, and customs of the Tujia people. Don't miss the opportunity to visit the Xizhou Tujia Folk Customs Museum.
After a 1-hour lunch break, continue your journey with a 3.5-hour drive to your accommodation in Fenghuang Old Town. Check into a hotel situated near the picturesque Tuo River, where you can unwind and enjoy the charm of this historic location.

DAY 8 Fenghuang/Exit

Activities for today: Fenghuang Old Town, Airport/train station transfer
In the morning, enjoy sightseeing in Fenghuang Old Town and partake in a 15-minute rafting excursion on the Tuo River. Afterwards, you can either be dropped off at Fenghuang Ancient City Railway Station or opt to drive back to Zhangjiajie for your onward journey, which could include an afternoon or evening flight to your next destination.
