    Arrive at Nanjing Lukou International Airport before 11:00 a.m., our guide will meet you and transfer you to your hotel for a short rest or for your own time to arrange your lunch. 13:30 p.m. Drive to visit Dr. Sun Yat-sen's Mausoleum and Ming Tomb


    -Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum
    It is situated at the foot of the second peak of Mount Zijin. Construction of the tomb started in 1926, taking three years. On first July 1929, Dr. Sun was buried there. Sun has been respected as Father of Modern China since he fought unyieldingly against the corrupt Qing government and led the 1911 revolution to end feudal system and found Republic of China, leading Chinese people into a new era.

    -Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum
    Nanjing became the capital of China when Zhu Yuanzhang founded the Ming Dynasty in 1368. During his reign, Zhu Yuanzhang built the great city walls of Nanjing, the imperial palace, and his future tomb - Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum. The tomb is a certified UNESCO World Heritage Site and is a must-see for travelers to Nanjing.

  • DAY 2 Nanjing/Zhangjiajie

    Activities for today: Presidential Palace, Xuanwu Lake, Zhong Hua City Gate and Confucius Temple area, airport transfer (Nanjing, Zhangjiajie)

    Today enjoy a full day tour of the Presidential Palace (Nanjing China Modern History Museum), Xuanwu Lake, Zhong Hua City Gate and Confucius Temple. Take the evening flight to Zhangjiajie. Upon arrival, your are picked up to your hotel.

    -Presidential Palace
    The Presidential Palace housed the Office of the President of the Republic of China before the republic relocated to Taiwan in 1949. It is now a museum, the China Modern History Museum. It is located at 292 Changjiang Road, in the Xuanwu District of Nanjing.

    -Xuanwu lake
    The lake lies northeast of the city near the railway station, out of the city wall. It used to be the drilling camp of the imperial navy and recreation center of aristocrats. At the end of the Qing dynasty, it was turned into a park.

    -Zhong Hua City Gate
    Zhonghua Gate,means Chinese gate, was the biggest and most splendid city gate of Nanjing city wall in the Ming dynasty. The gate was built from 1366 to 1386 and originally named Gate of Gathering Treasure, since legend says in the construction, the wall collapsed again and again before a Box of Gathering Treasure was buried under. The whole structure was built with huge bricks and special cement made from lime, tung oil and sticky rice juice, extraordinarily strong.

    Confucius Temple Area (old town area)
    Confucius Temple, Fuzimiao in Chinese, located in Qin Huai River area, southwest of the city. Qinhuai River is the cradle giving birth to ancient culture of Jinling (Nanjing). The Confucius Temple area, which is the most lively place at inner Qinhuai River, is the first AAAAA scenic area opened to the public for free.

  • DAY 3 Zhangjiajie

    Activities for today: Yellow Stone Village, Golden Whip Stream

    Today visit Zhangjiajie National Forest Park. We will take the cable car up to the Yellow Stone Village, where there are numerous lookout points for stunning views, from which you can see nearly half the peaks of Zhangjiajie. You will also visit Six Wonders Pavilion, which stands on top of Yellow Stone Village; it is the only cultural place of interest among the natural scenery - the “six wonders” refer to mountain, water, stone, cloud, plant, and animals. There are numerous other visual spots including Star Gathering Stage, etc.

    Afternoon enjoy a leisurely stroll along the Golden Whip Stream (about 4.7 miles). We will follow the twisted road in the deep valley, packed with many nice places to stop and rest.

  • DAY 4 Zhangjiajie

    Activities for today: Bailong Elevator, Yuanjiajie Mountain, Tianzi Mountain, Ten-mile Natural Gallery

    Enjoy another full day tour in Zhangjiajie National Forest Park. We will ascend the Yuanjiajie Mountain by the famous Bailong Elevator. On the summit, you will take about 2.5 hours to walk to discover the Pillar of the Southern Sky. It was used to inspiration for the famous "Hallelujah Mountains" in Blockbuster's movie Avatar. Proceed to the platform of Forgetfulness to enjoy the nearby peak views and then walk across the No. 1 Bridge under Heaven. Afternoon move on to see the Tianzi Mountain. This area is known for 4 natural spectacles - the clouds of mist that circle the peaks of the mountain, the amazing views of the rising sun, the moonlit nights and snowcapped winter peaks. They include more than 80 natural platforms to take in the magnificent scenery. We will visit The Marshal Helong Park (where there is another terrace for panoramic views; the park is in commemoration of Marshal He Long of the Chinese People's Liberation Army); the West Sea Stone Forests (where numerous peaks stand with different shapes and poses, covered with lush vegetation-- therefore, it is called sea of trees and sea of peaks). Later, take the cable car down the mountain to have a walk (about 40 minutes) along the dreamlike fairyland – Ten-mile Natural Gallery (Mini-train is optional, round trip RMB 76/pp).

  • DAY 5 Zhangjiajie

    Activities for today: Yellow Dragon Cave, Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon (with Glass Bridge)

    Morning drive to explore the fantastic Yellow Dragon Cave for about 2 hours. Afternoon proceed to explore Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon, which is known as the landform museum of Zhangjiajie. One of the highlights in your canyon exploration is a challenging walk on the most terrifying glass bridge in the world - Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon Glass Bridge.

    Remark
    The entrance tickets for the glass bridge can only be obtained by reservation because the park (Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon) has limited the number of visitors per day to 8,000. We have top priority for ticket reservation (individual reservations are seldom accepted). If you book our Zhangjiajie tour packages with the glass bridge, we suggest booking at least 10 days in advance.

  • DAY 6 Zhangjiajie/Exit

    Activities for today: Tianmen Mountain National Forest Park, Zhangjiajie Tujia Folk Custom Park, airport transfer (Zhangjiajie)

    After breakfast dirve to explore Tianmen Mountain National Forest Park. We will experience a ride on the world's longest cable car up to the summit of the Tianmen Mountain. At the summit of the mountain, taking a hike (approximately 2 hours) on the plank road alongside the Guigu Cliffs.

    During the hiking, you can choose to experience the glass skywalk (RMB 5/pp) built along a cliff. Then pay a visit to the Tiammen Temple and take the Forest Sightseeing cable car back to the Tianmen Mountain cable car station to take the big cable car up to the middle station. Later, take a bus along the Heaven-linking Avenue (a famous mountain-winding highway in the world) to explore the Tianmen Cave.

    Afternoon transfer to Zhangjiajie Tujia Folk Custom Park to learn some facts about the local ethnic culture, history, buildings and so on.

    Conclude the trip with a transfer to Zhangjiajie Hehua International Airport.
